Haven’t had a good vacation in a while. Back in the 70′s I was blessed to camp from Maine to California. Three trips: one to Colorado, Maine, California. Got to see the Grand Canyon. Whoa!! Unless you see the canyon you have no idea how big is truely is!! Camped at Big Sur, Ca. We’d have our camping gear; stove, tents, sleeping bags, etc. Throw everything in a car, fill up the trunk and an ice chest and hit the road! We’d have 2 week vacations and drive and camp … seeing so much of this beautiful United States has been a blessing! Fishing in a mountain lake right after sunrise in Colorado. New York … didn’t like LA. LA’s too dirty. One of favorite spots is the old lighthouse on highway 90 in Biloxi, Mississippi. To us that lighthouse symbolizes strength, guidance … and to me, the light of Jesus.

I have done the camping vacations and the hotel vacations. It just depends on what we are going to be doing. As far as camping goes, there isn’t a greater feeling than camping down by a flowing river…fishing and a fire…wow I need to go camping again!! As far as our Theme park vacations, hotels work out better for those.
