We have a 34′ motorhome and just bought a new Saturn. We have been using a tow dolly…YUK. To convert this to a towed vehicle what all do we need to get and how much will it cost?

Well you already have a car that has a drive line disconnect, so you are going to need a tow bar set up. They can range anywhere from $900 to $2400 depending on the manufacturer and how you want the car brackets set up. Some can be flush mounted for a better aesthetic look. You will also need a Brake system set-up for the tow vehicle also. Giving you a supplemental brake system in case the car was to come away from the Motor Home. This is a law in some states. Try Blue Ox or Sterling tow bar web sites.

You need a front frame mounted tow bar for the vehicle you are towing. 1-200.00 also have a valve placed on the transmission to reduce transmission wear another 1-150.00
the a set of lights that mount on the back of the towed vechicle
25.00 to 35.00 and thats about it.

You need to buy a car tow bar. that mounts to the front of the car you wish to tow. cost around $ 350 – 850 dollars. The cost increase should not be noticed from what you are already paying to tow the car now.

here are a few links that show what I mean, but I am not recommending any particular ones.
