I’ve driven both and the diesel is certainly nicer, but its more expensive to buy, maintain and operate. If you can afford the diesel, def get one.

While more expensive initially, fuel cost is going to be lower. Also, should you break down, a truck stop/garage may have the stuff you need to make the repairs since that is what the big rigs are powered by. If you are a serious RV’r and expect to put a lot of miles on one pulling a small car you will be glad you paid the extra bucks. We owned a FORD LXT250 with the IH diesel engine in it. 300K Miles later no major problems with the engine, although we have had issues with the fuel injection system and end up spending about $750 everytime it broke down (about once every 100K miles it seemed). You will really appreciate it when you hit those long hills out west and in W. Virginia.

Always a diesel! They are made for huge loads that require torque, they are basically ideal for the abuse of a motor home.

If U can afford a Diesel it’s better but 30K+ more U can buy a lot of fuel and how much are U going to use it??There are a lot of upgrades U can add to the V10 to get it running better.Exhaust up grade Ram air induction etc.
