i need help finding this movie…i just remember a kid in an RV in a forest parents dead?

The Earthling (1980)
IMDb synopsis:
Patrick Foley (William Holden) has been on the move all his live. Tired of drifting, he wants to spend his last days in an isolated Australian valley where he grew up. On his difficult journey he meets Shawn (Ricky Schroder), a desperate city-boy whose parents were killed in an accident in this remote inhospitable territory. Being unable to accompany the boy back to the civilized world, he reluctantly takes him with him on his trip to that valley and teaches him in a rugged way how to survive.

Foley will be dying shortly and is on his way to the Outback to pass over~trying to get away, not take baggage on his final trip. Yet, he runs into Shawn, who is the only survivor of a crash of his family’s motorhome. // The father accidentally puts the vehicle in reverse, if I recall, sending in a backward slide off the edge of a bluff despite attempts to correct the maneuver. The boy’s mother also is in the vehicle, but the boy has not boarded it yet. My memory is a bit hazy, but I do recall that the motorhome falls a great distance, with obviously no chance of survival by the couple.
