Engine is not the only concern. You will have to change tranny and rear end to get the proper R.P.M. range and gear ratios for a diesel engine. Much more torque than a gasser but only runs half the R.P.M. s.

You are talking some major bucks here to have it done at a shop but if you have the time and the tools and the automotive computer expertise (if diesel is computerized) then it could be had for around two grand

Do yourself a great big favor and search for a turbo inter cooled engine for your swap. Much more power in reserve when needed.

Need to know what engine you want in it and what year engine. You could pay $2000.00 to 8000,00 depending on what motor, year, and were you get it, new, used, turbo, You will need a transmission as well. Labor is going to be hard to tell you because again depending on the motor you may need motor mounts built and trans mount, partial exhaust system, some electrical changed and added. You may need to buy a wire harness if it is a computer controlled motor with electronic injectors, ETC, Drive line may need to be shortened or lengthened, You will need a second battery installed. You may need to change out the radiator. To answer you question from $5000.00 to $14,000 having to guess
